The latest Letter From The Developer livestream has provided a ton of new information about the Final Fantasy XIV patch 6.3, titled "Gods Revel, Lands Tremble," which will release sometime in January 2023. The update includes new dungeons, quests, alliance raids, trials, and notable changes to crafting, housing, and gathering.

The development team has unveiled all the new content coming to the beloved MMORPG in January via a lengthy showcase, which you can find below. Although details on some parts of the update, such as new tribal quests and trials, are still scarce, Producer Naoki Yoshida provided a lot of information about Deep Dungeon along with PVP and Island Sanctuary updates.

First off, FFXIV update 6.3 brings numerous changes to Island Sanctuary, including new item rewards, materials, animals, crops, and isleworks handicrafts. In addition to expanding the game's main story with new content, the update will introduce new sidequests for Tataru's Grand Endeavor, Tales of Newfound Adventure, and Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventure. These side stories offer players new excitement apart from the main storyline. Besides that, The Loporrits and For Disciples of the Hand are the two new tribal quests thorugh which players can earn rewards upon completion.

A new alliance raid, Myths of the Realm, and a new dungeon, Lapis Manalis, were also introduced with the update. However, the developers have not shared more than their names for the time being. Perhaps most excitingly, update 6.3 add a Deep Dungeon, called Eureka Orthos, which requires players to complete the main scenario quest Endwalker and progress floor 50 of the Palace of Dead. Players must be at least 81 level or higher to enter Eureka Orthos.

For those unfamiliar, Deep Dungeon sets itself apart from the other dungeons, as its architecture changes each time players enter. There are no role restrictions, and as its name implies, players gain experience as they progress toward the deepest floor.

Duty support for the likes of Sohr Khai, Xelphatol, Baelsar's Wall, and Heavensward will be added to FFXIV with the new update. Last but not least, notable changes to PVP, housing, crafting, and gathering include a new arena for Crystalline Conflict, tool enhancement quests, additional wards for all residential areas, and fishing locations.

Final Fantasy XIV's update 3.6 is due out sometime in January 2023. The popular MMORPG is now available to play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
