With the World Cup starting on June 12th, EA Sports is planning on getting in on the action with FIFA 14 and this time next-gen players will be included.

The free update to FIFA Ultimate Team will be a separate World Cup mode within the broader Ultimate Team structure.

Cards representing all 32 teams, their crests, the official Adidas ball, team kits, and the Estadio do Marcana stadium will be available on May 29th.

In addition, every pack of World Cup cards include a gold pack for use in the regular FIFA Ultimate Team mode.

Furthermore, the next-gen versions of the game are getting a FIFA World Cup Kickoff mode. Xbox One and PS4 players will be getting all 32 teams, the stadium, and the official ball as a free update

This new mode will see tweaks to the chemistry mechanic, which is the key to a well-built team. Previously players needed to be positioned next to others from the same team, country, or league, but in this new World Cup mode it depends on country and governing confederation.
