The quadrennial FIFA World Cup begins this June in Russia, making 2018 an exciting year for soccer fans. To celebrate, EA will be releasing a free update for FIFA 18 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch that adds content related to the 2018 FIFA World Cup on May 29.

This update will allow players to choose one the 32 qualified teams and fight to win the World Cup in Online Friendlies and Online Tournaments. There will also be a Custom Tournament mode, so players can create their own World Cup tournaments with unqualified nations like the USA and Italy. A World Cup Kick-Off mode will also be playable both offline and online.

In addition, twelve new Russian stadiums have been added to the game so these matches can take place at the right venues. Even Ultimate Team is seeing some updates, with new player items related to the event and some new Icons based on iconic World Cup players.

You can check out a new trailer promoting this update below. FIFA 18 is currently available on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. For those of you who want to try the game out, you can currently pick it up on Amazon.
