If you can connect to the FIFA 22 servers at the moment, this is due to scheduled maintenance. Let's have a look at the current FIFA 22 server status and the exact end time of the maintenance.

Unexpected maintenance for FIFA 22 servers has been announced less than a few hours earlier from EA Sports.

The game was received Title Update 5 on all platforms yesterday, and having maintenance a day after the update seems a little bit odd, but anyway, you will be pushed out of online modes very soon.

The developer has not provided any details on the purpose of the maintenance, but we do know that this is a long one!

FIFA 22 Server Status and Maintenance Schedule for February 9

According to an official post from the support team at EA Sports, the FIFA 22 servers for all platforms will undergo maintenance on February 9 at 2 am ET/7 am UTC/8 am CET.

You should expect the servers to be down for FIFA Ultimate Team and Volta Football modes for at least 4 hours. Also, you will encounter disconnection issues to the EA servers during the downtime.

In addition to FIFA 22, this maintenance will affect the FIFA 18, 19, 20, and 21 servers as well. Keep in mind that match creation for online modes will be disabled 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the maintenance.

FIFA 22 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, Stadia, and PC. The game has not been added to the EA Play service yet.

As we get closer to Summer 2022, the uncertainty around FIFA 23 increases as the game has not been able to reach an agreement with FIFA on licensing matters, which could end up in changing the franchise's name into EA Sports FC.
