EA Sports will officially unveil the next entry in the FIFA series this Wednesday, but you can already have a look at the FIFA 23 cover, featuring a female football player for the first time ever.

While fans were anticipating it to happen sooner, FIFA 23 will officially be revealed in two days, as EA Sports revealed the cover stars for the Ultimate Edition of the game only a few hours earlier. Featuring Paris-Saint German's Kylian Mbappe and Chelsea's Sam Kerr, this is the first time ever that a FIFA game features a female football player as a cover star.

Unfortunately, EA Sports didn't share any other information on the game, inviting all the players to stay tuned until July 20, when they will reveal the game officially with full details.

That being said, if you take a closer look at the FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition cover, you can learn about some details before the official announcement.

First of all, FIFA 23 supports EA's Dual Entitlement, which is the company's service for delivering next-gen versions of games for free when you purchase a current-gen version. So, it is safe to say that EA still has not dropped old consoles and FIFA 23 will be available on both 8th-gen and 9th-gen consoles as well as PC.

Other than that, you can spot the Hypermotion 2 logo on the right bottom corner of the cover, which is obvious proof that the game will probably see more visual improvement, especially on the animations.

EA Sports revealed the Hypermotion Technology with FIFA 22, which delivered much smoother character animations to the game, visually distancing the next-gen version of the game from the old-gen version. Now, with Hypermotion 2, we can probably expect even more improvements on the visuals, which might expand onto other parts of the game in addition to the visuals.

With these small teases, you can be even more excited than before for the official announcement of the game. We do hope that the developers consider the next-gen version for PC players rather than the old-gen version this time, but at the end of the day, we are not sure about it.
