Today Arika announced the release of 1.1.0 of its recently-launched fighting game Fighting EX Layer, which is basically the spiritual successor of the Street Fighter EX series.
Most prominently, the update will add returning characters Pullum Purna and Vulcano Rosso for free, alongside new stages, and the arcade story mode.
Of course, further tweaks and balance adjustments are also included, so fans of the game are in for a treat.
We also hear that the game will be released in a physical version in Japan down the line, and it will be playable at Tokyo Game Show at Konami’s booth between September 20th and September 23rd.
A few screenshots of the new characters were released, and you can check them out below. You can also see them in action in previously-released gameplay videos and the announcement trailer, that also showcased the upcoming DLC featuring Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters.
Fighting EX Layer is currently available only for PS4.
