Final Fantasy 16 development update shared at TGS 2021 by Naoki Yoshida, Skill Tree comments

As summarized by Famitsu, during the Final Fantasy 14 and 16 part of the discussion, Naoki Yoshida gave us a new development update on FF16, and explained all of the main scenario is done (we already knew that), and they're pretty much making the final pieces of side content in the game now. The character's models have been finished too, and they only need some more quality upgrades.

Naoki Yoshida also mentioned FF16 has a system kinda similar to the Skill Tree used in Fantasian. Lastly, Hironobu Sakaguchi also jokingly mentioned he's like to design some of the character costumes for FF14 or FF16. Though this is more likely to be a joke than a real Square Enix + Mistwalker collab in the works.

Be sure to check our translations of the previous development updates on Final Fantasy 16. There was a discussion with Yoko Taro during an FF14 stream, and the other update on WasyaganaTV.

Stay tuned as we'll keep our coverage of TGS 2021 going. Final Fantasy XVI was announced for PS5 and has no release date yet. Producer Naoki Yoshida mentioned several months before TGS that the game wouldn't show up at the event.
