Following the release of both Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII Remastered on Switch this year, publisher Square Enix has now announced a new bundle that will contain both games.

Slated to arrive later this year, a new physical edition that includes both FFVII and FFVIII is now going to be releasing on the Nintendo Switch. No price for the package was announced, but it has been confirmed that both English and Japanese dialogue options will be available.

The only potential issue now for likely many is that Square Enix has only announced so far that this bundle will be coming to Asia. As of this writing, no confirmation has been made that it will be coming to other territories. Still, considering how popular the series is in the West, and also considering that it likely wouldn't take too much to also release this bundle in other regions, I'd have to imagine it'll be announced elsewhere soon.

I'll admit, I do think it's a bit odd to release a bundle like this and not include Final Fantasy IX as well. In case you forgot, FFIX also ended up arriving on Switch earlier this year, too. It would've made more sense to see 7-9 released in one bundle, in my opinion, but apparently Square just wanted to keep things confined to VII and VIII.

Regardless, we'll keep you updated on this story moving forward if Square Enix announced the physical collection for other regions. Stay tuned.
