Final Fantasy 7 Remake Voice Actress Anna Brisbin Delights With Impersonations of Aerith, Jessie, and More

Final Fantasy 7 Remake voice actor Anna Brisbin's impressions of other characters aren't just on point, they put a smile on my face.

Hey there, how you doing? Having a rough one? Well if you are, or even if you’re doing just fine, I’ve got something to brighten up your day. Or rather, Anna Brisbin will be doing just that. She’s a voice actor; more importantly, she’s the voice for Katie, the excited, energetic young woman that tallies up Cloud’s monster kills in Sector 7. And to celebrate the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, she’s put up a video on her YouTube channel of her doing impersonations of the game’s other notable female characters.

The first thing you’ll notice about Brisbin: she’s just like her character in Final Fantasy 7 Remake; incredibly spunky and energetic. Personally, it’s refreshing to see someone voicing a character in a game express such pure pride and excitement about their role. What’s equally refreshing is Brisbin’s approach to recreating the voices of the other iconic characters of FF7R.

From Tifa and Aerith, both as children and adults, to the thirstiest character in the game, Jessie, Brisbin nails her impersonations. Not only that, but there’s something special about actually watching a voice actor work outside of the studio. Brisbin’s facial expressions change with each character, going from deer-like when impersonating Aerith to holier-than-thou when it comes to Scarlet.

For my money though, Brisbin’s best imitation is Madam M, the woman that sends Cloud to see Don Corneo. The Madam’s attitude is far from Brisbin’s normal, but she nails it nonetheless.

While this is the first time I’ve heard of Anna Brisbin, I’ll now be looking out for her name in the credits of upcoming titles. In fact, looking through her IMDB page, you might realize you’ve heard her in games like Indivisible and Monster Prom. If you want to follow and keep tabs on her, the best places to do so seem to be her YouTube channel and Twitter.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now on PS4.
