Final Fantasy 7 Remake Demo Is Now Available on the Playstation Store
Jump in and try the first chapter of the upcoming remake.
Square Enix has just announced that the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake is now available as a PS4 demo ahead of its planned April 2020 launch.
As announced earlier today by the official Final Fantasy 7 Remake Twitter account, the demo is available for PS4 users from the PlayStation Store and allows players to “experience the beginning of the story,” but there are some catches.
While players get to try the first chapter with the Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission, progress in the demo won’t be carried over to the full game. Additionally, as expected, the demo content is subject to differ from the retail version of the game.
We’ve just released the free #FinalFantasy VII Remake demo on PlayStation Store.

That doesn’t mean you can’t jump right into the single-player demo and experience the game of which contains a mixture of traditional command-based combat as well as real-time action. From what we can see from the trailer that comes with the above tweet, the game certainly looks fantastic in quality and looks to be doing a great job keeping the magic of the 1997 classic alive.
Admittedly, at the time of reporting it’s like, super early morning for you American folk, but over here in the UK we’ve just woken up with a coffee and getting ready to begin downloading. Will you be playing this demo or will you be waiting for the retail version to launch?
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is to launch on April 10 for PS4. It’ll remain a PS4 exclusive until 2021.
