Hours before The Game Awards are set to kick-off, we have learned that publisher Square Enix will be joining in on the night’s festivities.

In a new tweet from the official Twitter account for Final Fantasy VII Remake, it was confirmed that a new trailer for the highly-anticipated 2020 release will be debuting during the awards show. As for what the trailer will be about, the tweet stated that it’ll largely be focused on the game’s protagonist, Cloud Strife. “Tune in tonight at 5:30PM PT for a new trailer that focuses on everyone’s favorite ex-SOLDIER!” said Square Enix in the message.

This will be the first trailer that we have received for Final Fantasy VII Remake since earlier this fall. Since then, a lot of new information such as new screenshots, the game’s box art, and a variety of other details have come about. Still, it will be nice to see more of Final Fantasy VII Remake in action tonight in a formal manner via new video footage.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is set to arrive next year on March 3, 2020, and will be exclusive to the PS4 for one full year. As for The Game Awards, the event is set to begin this evening at 8:30pm EST/5:30pm PST.
