Legendary Final Fantasy Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and his own studio Mistwalker have been silent for a long time, so much that the company's homepage was even left to expire for a short period, making us worry about a possible closure.

Yet, looks like things are moving, and we're close to know what Sakaguchi-san has been working on. On Wednesday July 2nd a conference will be held at the Japan Expo in Paris during which Sakaguchi-sam will not only illustrate his previous development experiences, but will also announce his new project.

At the moment we know very little about Sakaguchi's new project. The only thing we saw is a mysterious picture on Mistwalker's page and social media (that you can see below) and that could have something to do with it.

Interetsingly, the conference's webpage doesn't only carry the logo of Mistwalker, but also that of  the European branch of Gravity, developer of the Ragnarok Online series and a bunch  of other MMORPGs (including Requiem: Bloodymare) and a few mobile games. This means that most probably Gravity is involved with Sakaguchi's new gameand indicates that it could either be a MMORPG (which would definitely be a surprise) or another mobile project, even if there's no way to be sure.
