Final Fantasy Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi Working on a New Game in 2016 in Parallel with Terra Battle

Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi is enjoying new found success with his adorable mobile RPG Terra Battle, but he doesn’t want to stop there.

The veteran developer told Famitsu App that for 2016 he intends to continue developing Terra Battle, including Yasumi Matsuno’s scenario and the upcoming Chapter 35, but at the same he intends to proceed with the production of a new game in paralel, featuring innovation and a new world view.

Sakaguchi-san did not specify whether he’s talking about the announced MMORPG for consoles set in the Terra Battle‘s world, or something entirely different, but considering how good Terra Battle is, and the creator’s pedigree, color me interested.

Giuseppe Nelva

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
