Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition Revealed at Sony's TGS Conference; Coming 2019
Sony revealed that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition will re-release the cult classic Final Fantasy spin-off title next year.
Originally released on the GameCube, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles brought players into an imaginative and co-op focused iteration of the acclaimed RPG series, with the game to see a new audience next year in a new release.
During Sony’s TGS 2018 LineUp Tour Conference, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition was unveiled for a release in 2019 on PS4 (and later confirmed for Nintendo Switch), bringing players a newly-remastered version of the cult classic GameCube title.
Alongside the trailer highlighting the revamped visuals for the game, Sony’s reveal also showcased the game’s cooperative gameplay, which will be available online for players worldwide, which should bring a nice touch to those that may have played the game locally back when it first released for the GameCube.
Thankfully, this time around you won’t need to use Game Boy Advances and Link Cables to enjoy the experience, but those looking to hop into Crystal Chronicles, whether it’s for the first time or to experience the game again, will surely get a lot out of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition will release in 2019 for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan. There hasn’t been any official confirmation yet on a Western release for the remastered edition of the game, but stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
