Square Enix announced during Nintendo’s Third-Party Direct that Final Fantasy Explorers is slated to be released on Nintendo 3DS this winter.

The game will be an action RPG featuring a jobs system, monster summons and four-player co-op, similar to previous Final Fantasy spin-offs. Players will be able to explore the island of Amostra, where Explorers go to collect a extensive amount of crystals buried within the island and defeat beasts that emerge during their adventure.
