An announcement appeared today from Square Enix, revealing that Final Fantasy III, one of the classic installments in the popular RPG series, would be launching on Steam with updated visuals. Initially released in 1990 in Japan, the dated title has been optimized for PC gaming and includes 3D visuals. It also includes Steam Trading Cards, new Achievements, quicker browsing through the monster bestiary, and a brand new design for Job Mastery Cards.

While no release date or price has been shared yet, Square Enix has revealed new screenshots featuring the game's updated visuals.
