Final Fantasy IV Makes its Way to iOS Devices (in Japan)

Come December 20th, Square-Enix will follow in the footsteps of the first three Final Fantasy games and release Final Fantasy IV on iOS devices (followed later by release on the Android platform, as well). This installment has been around for over two decades, yet still features some of the most memorable characters from the entire franchise. (It also has a full and complete version if FFIV and FFIV: The After Story available on the PSP/Vita.)

This version seems to match the visuals of those released on Nintendo platforms in the past (with 3D modeled characters) instead of the aforementioned Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection, which remained true to the original top-down visual style. It does, however, have full voice acting and seems to be very full-featured for an iOS title. Rest assured, it will likely command the usual high Square-Enix mobile game price, as well.

There’s no mention of an international release, however it’s almost certain there will be one, much like there was for the first three games, so if you haven’t purchased this game enough in the last 20 years, you have the chance to drop some more cash on it and play it on yet another platform before too long.
