The App Store for iOS devices is definitely filled to the brim with more games and content imaginable, but luckily there are also some great opportunities to get portable versions of some of the classic titles that you might have missed out on.

Square Enix announced that RPG classic Final Fantasy VI has now been released for iOS, and will be available to purchase and play from the iTunes App Store for $15.99. As a port of the original version from the SNES in 1994, the iOS version of Final Fantasy VI has received touch controls and some slight HUD tweaks for the mobile experience, as with many of the other Final Fantasy titles that have been ported over to the platform.

In addition touchscreen support, the game will also feature iCloud support between iOS devices, with the game giving users the ability to upload a save to iCloud that can then be shared among the users other iOS devices, such as an iPad or iPhone. The port also features some content that was introduced in the 2006 remake of the title.

Final Fantasy VI is now available to download for iPad, iPhone, and other iOS devices on the App Store.
