Square Enix published a new video introducing the Final Fantasy VII Remake Material Ultimania guidebook, ahead of its release on October 29 in Japan. The video is included further below, alongside a gallery with all the previews. As we already explained, Final Fantasy VII Remake already had a first Utimania book released on April 28 in Japan. It was a B5, 752 pages book and is digitally available on Amazon Japan. It included detailed information on the game's playable characters, the battle system, the enemies, the scenario, side quests and mini-games. Items, "secrets" that you might miss in a normal playthrough, an image gallery and interviews with the staff. This brand new book, Final Fantasy VII Remake Material Ultimania, will be more akin to an anime official guidebook. As in, instead of compiling information you can already find in the game itself, it'll detail the various materials used by Square Enix to develop Final Fantasy VII Remake. This includes rough drafts of character designs, storyboards for the cutscenes, CG artwork, Liner Notes from the sound staff, and references for the characters' costumes. All accompanied by comments from the developers. The book will include brand new interviews of the main characters' seiyuu as well. It's the definitive FFVIIR book to own for any Otaku.

The Material Ultimania guidebook is A4 sized, full color, and 336 pages long. It'll be sold for 4400 Yen tax included. It's unlikely it'll be released outside Japan anytime soon.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available exclusively on PS4 since April 10, 2020. The exclusivity will be removed in April 2021, and it's all but officially confirmed it's coming to PC. Square Enix is already working on the sequel as well.

Square Enix might have some new announcements in store at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2020, from September 23 to 27.
