From the game's iconic characters to its engrossing story and world, Final Fantasy VII has continued to remain one of the most beloved entries in the Final Fantasy series for well over two decades, and soon Xbox One owners will get to experience the title for themselves in just over a month from now.

The Microsoft Store has confirmed that Xbox One owners will be able to play Final Fantasy VII on March 26, 2019, which will coincide with the release date that the classic RPG will also be arriving on Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders for the title on Xbox One are now currently open for $15.99.

Before you get too excited, this is of course the original Final Fantasy VII versus the upcoming remake of the game, which is still currently in development...and probably will be for quite some time.

The release of Final Fantasy VII and several other Final Fantasy games on Xbox One was confirmed last year, and while many of these titles have been released nearly countless times on other platforms in the years since they first debuted, for a lot of Xbox One owners this time be their first time experiencing some of the series' most beloved installments, especially with Final Fantasy VII.

That being said, even if you played it before Final Fantasy VII still manages to hold up well over 20 years since it first debuted on the original PlayStation. Whether it's your first time experiencing the game or your 10th time, there's never a bad time to relive what is considered one of the all-time greats and return to Midgar.
