In many cases, Japan often gets the superior box art when it comes to a multitude of video game titles. This seems to be the case once again with the Nintendo Switch box art for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. You can check it out for yourself down below:

The cover art has a similar style to the reversible cover fans got with the game's western PS4 release back in 2017; which makes sense considering they're both drawn by the game's character designer, Akihiko Yoshida. However, while the style is similar, the image itself is completely changed. Less of the game's cast is present on the cover; only Ashelia, Vaan, Penelo, Balthier, and Fran make an appearance. They're each more pronounced as they're all lined up next to each other while Ashelia is at the forefront wearing a white dress.

For comparison, I've included The Zodiac Age's PS4 box art below. Hopefully, Switch fans in the west will have a reversible option similar to the PS4 version. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will launch for the Nintendo Switch on April 30. Square Enix also recently announced that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD will launch just two weeks prior on April 16.
