Final Fantasy XIII-2 To Be Released in the US in January 2012

Twitter is getting more and more under the spotlight, lately, as a source of news that you would expect announced via official channels first, like the release date of a game.

It’s the case of Final Fantasy XIII-2, slated for release in early 2012, until now.

Today Emili Shoji, Assistant PR Manager of Square Enix US, surprised everyone with the following tweet:

FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 is slated for a January 2012 release for North America. Be excited!”

While it doesn’t say the precise date, it’s still very nice of her to share. It’s also interesting to see that the game will be released in the US (and hopefully in Europe as well) only a month after the Japanese release, slated for December.
