Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward patch 3.05 will be released on July 21st, and it will come with the new "savage" version of the Alexander: Gordias raid, and with new Frontlines PVP content.

The Alexander Gordias: Savage raid will require eight players over level 60, and will not have an item level requirement (of course, if you go in with a low item level you're going to be slaughtered). It won't appear in the Duty Finder, so you'll need to form your own group. You'll be able to access each of the four floors only if at least one member of the party didn't complete it during the current week.

In order to unlock the raid you need to complete the quest "A Song of Steam and Steel" from the Wandering Minstrel in Mor Dhona. Prerequisite to it are "The Ultimate Ballad" and "Enigma," meaning that you'll need to have beaten both the normal version of Alexander: Gordias and Ultima Weapon's extreme version.

Rewards will come as follows:

Treasure coffers that appear upon completing areas in Alexander: Gordias (Savage) will yield gear. In addition, players will receive a page of the Gordian Manifesto from each area, which can be exchanged for gear of your choosing.

* Players will only receive one page of the Gordian Manifesto per area each week upon completing said area for the first time.

If your party contains players replaying an area prior to the weekly reset, the number of treasure coffers appearing upon completion will decrease.*

Furthermore, players will be ineligible for rewards from treasure coffers as well as pages of the Gordian Manifesto when replaying an area prior to the weekly reset.

* If there are one to four players in your party replaying a turn, only a single treasure coffer will appear.

If there are five to seven players in your party replaying a turn, no treasure coffers will appear.

Players in the party who have yet to complete a given area in Alexander: Gordias (Savage) prior to the weekly reset will receive a page of the Gordian Manifesto.

In addition to this, we'll also get a new Frontline Area of the "Seize" fashion, named Seal Rock, a scenic seaside location. It will also come with new PvP gear, that you can see in the gallery at the bottom of the post.

Here are a few details:

Rules of Engagement

During a Frontline seize campaign, players aid their company by retrieving data from Allagan tomeliths and defeating players from opposing teams. The first team to accumulate the required amount of data will be declared the winner, and the remaining teams will be ranked according to their respective ratings.

Allagan Tomeliths

Seal Rock island is home to ancient relics known as Allagan tomeliths, structures containing data coveted by the three Grand Companies. Players must locate and occupy tomeliths to activate them and extract their data.

Allagan Tomelith Ranks

Allagan tomeliths will activate at one of three ranks: S, A, or B. Although tomeliths have a lower chance to activate at higher ranks, they hold a larger quantity of data that can be retrieved while they are occupied. As the match progresses, tomeliths will have an increased chance to activate at higher ranks.

Rewards

All players will receive PvP EXP and Wolf Marks, as well as Allagan tomestones of law and Allagan tomestones of esoterics based on their performance.
