During the opening keynote of the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn fanfest, being held in Tokyo, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida announced a new race that will be introduced with the Heavensward expansion.

The race is the Au Ra, and it's going to be a dragonkin with partly scaled bodies and horns.
