Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Phase 3 Will End This Week With a Five Day Long Marathon

on July 8, 2013 5:28 AM

All good things come to an end, and so will the third phase of the beta testing of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Players getting ready to face withdrawals between phase three and phase four do have something to rejoice about, as the last testing segment will last five days instead of the usual weekend.

The servers will open on Wednesday, July the 10th at 2 AM PDT (9 AM GMT), and will close Monday, July the 15th at the same hour.

With the announcement come a few tidbits of additional info. As we already know there will be a data wipe before the beginning of phase four, but this should be the last one, as all data from phase four on should carry on into the live game.

In addition to that, the client used for phase one, two and three won’t be of any use in phase four that will come with a different client, so if you need to free up some hard disk space you’ll be able to get rid of the old client.

What are your plans for the last five days of beta three? Are you going to knock off a few more quests or maybe you’re going to explore every nook and cranny of the new Eorzea?
