Today a new batch of alpha invites for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was delivered, but whether you have been accepted or not, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida has something new for you to enjoy.

The upcoming game got a brand spanking official Developer's Blog, with an opening post by Yoshida-san himself.

The blog, that you can find here, promises quite interesting tidbits of information:

The development team will fill you in on our work behind the scenes along with other exciting bits of news and inside scoops rarely found in mainstream media.

It will be compiled mostly by the game's project managers and will cover everything from artwork to info related to programming, even passing by "raw development data".

To kick things off Yoshida-san shared two interesting pieces of artwork showcasing a baby Chocobo and even a baby bomb (he calls it a "super deformed bomb", but the file name definitely says "baby". What does this mean? Your guess is as good as mine). You can see them above.
