Back in April, Square Enix revealed the much-teased companion app for its successful MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, and now we finally know more of when it's coming

The publisher announced that the app will be release in "late July," bringing a lot of features to iOS and Android phones and tablets.

These will include chatting with your friends in the game, event planning, organizing one's inventory and chocobo bags, and using the market board.

It'll be interesting to see how this will affect the game and it's economy, but at least now we know when to expect it.
