Square Enix just released the new patch 2.3 “Defenders of Eorzea” for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, and today they celebrated all the wealth of new content with a new batch of including some fantastic key artwork for the patch.

On top of the wallpaper, which you can see below, the new Letter from the Producer Live broadcast has been announced and dated. It’ll happen on July 21st at 4 AM PDT on YouTube, Niconico and Twitch, even if the specific URLs will be announced closer to the date.

Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida will be present to discuss patch 2.3 and the future of the game, and this time around Lead Planner Nobuaki Komoto will also attend, to talk about game design, seasonal events, the Eorzean economy, and more.

As usual, if you want to ask questions which will have a chance to be answered on air, you have to post them on the dedicated threads on the official forums. You can also send some during the livestream on Twitter, making sure to include @FF_XIV_EN and the #XIVLive live hashtag.

As usual you can expect coverage of the livestream here on DualShockers, but in the meanwhile you can pick your new wallpaper below.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
