Square Enix released today a new trailer featuring the new primal battle that will be included in the 1.20 version of Final Fantasy XIV, slated for release on wednesday.
The battle features Good King Moggle Mog XII, hero of the Moogle race, and a whole truckload of cuteness.
It’ll be hard to focus on fighting without being distracted. You can check the trailer out past the cut.
The publisher also released the quite promising patch notes for version 1.20. You can find them here.
Some highlights are new ranks for the grand companies, new quests, the much awaited revision of classes, a revision of the effects of stats, the implementation of individual combos, the addition of large treeants (featured in the gridania opening cutscene) as enemies, a new dyeing system, a new achievement system and it’s rewards, a new player search system, a new interaction menu, new emotes and the transformation of the market wards in a fully functional auction house that doesn’t require to run to retainers in order to purchase items.
There is a whole lot more, but you might want to check the patch notes themselves for that. It’s simply too much to list here.
Can’t say that Square Enix isn’t working extremely hard to show Final Fantasy XIV players that paying the returning monthly fee from January onward will be worth it.
