Final Fantasy XIV Online has been steadily increasing their updates for the launch of version 2.0 after a tragic release of the original game. Today, Square-Enix announced two new promotional campaigns to help bring players back into the world of Eorzea.
The first is called the Legacy Campaign, which will introduce a handful of benefits for players who have kept their subscription active for at least 90 days between January 6, 2012 up until the start of the 2.0 beta testing.
Legacy members will not only lock in a lower rate of $9.99 per month with up to eight characters per world for up to 40 characters total, but they will also get a free exclusive Chocobo mount.
The second is called the Welcome Back Campaign, which is an invitation for players with inactive accounts to rejoin the game for ten free days between May 9 and May 20. They will be able to play through new additions that came with patches 1.21 and 1.22, including the improved job systems. You can read the details here.
