Today Square Enix released a new batch of screenshots of the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV update 4.4, titled "Prelude in Violet."

We get to catch a glimpse of the main storyline, as the mystery thickens around a certain imperial character.

We also take a good look at the two new dungeons, The Burn and Saint Mocianne's Arboretum (Hard), which will bring new challenges to the adventurers of Eorzea. The screenshots also show a couple of bosses and the gear that we'll be able to acquire as loot rewarding us for our efforts.

Last, but not least, two screenshots show the Doman Reconstruction feature. The patch will come in mid-September, and we're likely to hear and see more tomorrow with the latest Letter from the Producer Live broadcast.
