After a maintenance lasted roughly 24 hours, Square Enix just reopened the servers for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, that has been updated to patch 3.1 "Where Goes Light, There Goes Darkness."

If you followed our advice and downloaded the patch when it was made available a few hours ago, you should be all set to play the patch's new content, that are downright massive and include The Lost Ark raid dungeon, new instanced dungeons, The Diadem’s exploratory missions, the Lord of Verminion pet-driven minigame and much, much more.

Incidentally, today Square Enix announced that the game is now officially compatible with Windows 10, which should surprise absolutely no one, considering that people have been playing on the new operating system for months.

If you're  still stuck downloading, you can kill some time by reading the enormous patch notes here.
