During the Live Letter which was broadcast on December 23, 2015 from Eorzea Café in Japan, Final Fantasy XIV Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida discussed the current state of the game covering three main topics: Alexander Savage, exploratory missions and Anima weapons.

Regarding Alexander: Gordias (Savage), the development team considers that the difficulty was too high and the DPS check too severe to be supplemented with items level only. They also feel that the item rewards for clearing the fourth floor of Alexander were poorly set, as they offered the same ilevel than the upgraded Esoteric weapons.

Adjustements will be made in 3.2 to the upcoming next tier of Alexander called "Midas": the difficulty of Midas (Extreme) will be lower, somewhere between the difficulty of The Second Coil and The Final Coil. The balance between Savage weapons and the new Allagan tomestone weapons will also be revamped.

As a whole, The Diadem suffered from a lack of set rules. Following players feedback, several changes will be introduced and future content will have a greater focus on the exploration aspect. Adjustments will be made to  item rewards so that farming will not be the only objective and players will also be able to enjoy collecting items and spirit bonding.

Regarding the Anima weapons quest, the challenge was set so players could be rewarded with a powerful weapon for their time and effort. Since the item level for Alexander (Savage) weapons was set to 210, the Anima weapons' item level could not have been made higher. To the players concerned about the lifespan of the new relic: the next step to enhance Anima weapons is planned to be implemented between patch 3.25 and 3.3
