After thanking fans for watching the Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event, Tabata-san mentioned that the Platinum Demo had a large number of downloads.
We also hear that Square Enix received many complaints from users that did not manage to pre-order the Ultimate Collector’s Edition, that evaporated almost instantly. The company is currently looking at whether it’s possible to increase production somehow or not, and Tabata-san promises that an update on this will be provided as soon as possible.
Last but not least, the publisher plans to strictly deal with unnatural pre-orders that are thought to be for resale, in accordance with the terms of service.
The Ultimate Collector’s Edition was announced with a limited run of 30,000 copies worldwide, and despite the rather steep price, it’s quite unlikely that that kind of numbers will manage to satisfy demand.
