Square Enix has given Final Fantasy XV fans a look at some new artwork from their upcoming tie-in anime Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ardyn Prologue. You can check out the artwork for yourself down below.

Episode Ardyn will give players new insight into the background of the antagonist of Final Fantasy XV. The anime prologue will premiere sometime before the DLC becomes available. It'll also take place before the events that occur in the main game's storyline. A trailer for the anime will be released tomorrow.

Four DLC episodes were initially planned for the game but three were canceled after director Hajime Tabata departed from Square Enix's Luminous Productions. A new studio lead was recently chosen. Episode Ardyn will be the finale to the overall story of XV.

In other news, the standalone Multiplayer: Comrades expansion released on December 12. Additionally, players can access more single-player content with the Final Fantasy XIV crossover event that was recently added into the game.

Final Fantasy XV is available now on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
