With all the Final Fantasy VII Remake news, we risk of losing sight of Final Fantasy XV, but things are going on on that front as well.

First of all, Game Design Department Manager Kenichi Shida gave more information on how the Cross-Link system was changed from the demo, and about the introduction of a new system, named “Slash-Link.”

“The tempo and the feeling [of cross-link] was of course improved. Now you can cooperate [with other characters] quickly. The method of triggering it was also changed from the demo, and gameplay has improved considerably. This is because a system we did not have for the demo has been implemented for the final game.

In addition to cross-link, we have another yet-unannounced system named Slash-Link, that triggers cooperation with a companion in different conditions. Since this kind of cooperation between characters is the core of combat, we’ll polish them until the very moment in which the game goes gold.”

In addition to that, more versions of the upcoming festive illustration have been posted, alongside with a vote asking fans if they want a yellow or black chocobo reindeer in the picture. Incidentally, chocobo reindeers are beyond cute.
