The previously announced add-on Final Fantasy XV : Episode Ignis got a new trailer showcasing bits of its story, gameplay, and music by Chrono Trigger composer Yasunori Mitsuda.

Flaunting the DLC’s vast world and unique real-time combat, Episode Ignis will have players take the role of Ignis Scientia, Noctis’s childhood friend and a royal servant to the Crownsguard. He’s also the guy that cooks delicious food and chauffeurs the party in Final Fantasy XV.

Final Fantasy XV originally released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November of last year. Soon after, it was announced that the popular title would release on PC sometime in 2018. Recently, the system requirements for Windows version were revealed giving computer players an idea of what upgrades they will need to make for its inevitable launch.

This is not the first time one of Final Fantasy XV‘s party members got their own episode. Episode Gladiolus and Episode Prompto released back in March and June respectively. Both episodes allowed players to take control of different party members from the main game.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis will launch for PlayStation 4 on December 13, 2017. Check out our review of Final Fantasy XV to see what we thought of the latest entry of the popular RPG series.
