Final Fantasy XV’s Noctis Most Wanted for Kingdom Hearts by Famitsu Readers; Lightning Follows
Famitsu readers vote on which Final Fantasy character they'd like to see in Kingdom Hearts.
The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu included a popular vote among the readers of the Japanese publication, on which Final Fantasy character they’d like to see making an appearance in a future Kingdom Hearts game.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, considering how recent the release of Final Fantasy XV is, Noctis won the poll with 237 votes. Maybe more surprisingly, at least for some, is Lightning in second place, with 201 votes. This goes to show once more how many Japanese fans received Final Fantasy XIII and Lightning herself much better than the vocal detractors in the west.
In distant third place we find Zidane, from Final Fantasy IX (81 votes), followed by the ever-present chocobos (30 votes). Fifth ranked is Bartz, from Final Fantasy V (22 votes).
It’s worth mentioning that the question did not explicitly mention the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III, but just an unspecified future Kingdom Hearts title.
The poll included 990 votes (evenly split between males and females), so almost half of those who answered actually picked other characters that didn’t make it to the top-five.
What about you? Which Final Fantasy character would you like to see appearing in the Kingdom Hearts franchise?
I’m sure you know who gets my vote.
