Square Enix announced that the world of Final Fantasy XV has gotten even bigger with the release of Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition on PC-Steam, Origin and Windows 10 on March 6.

Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition and Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition will each launch with the base game and over 20 additional add-ons and DLC. Also, new updated features include an expanded map of Insomnia, a region within the game, new enemies, new side quests and a first-person camera mode.

The expanded map includes the Insomnia City Ruins that allows the player to explore the Crown City of Insomnia and face off against Cerberus and Omega during additional side-quests. Players will also be able to take on the Rulers of Yore.

Additionally, the Royal Vessel boat is now fully-controllable which allows players to explore the world between Cape Caem and Altissia. This addition also allows players to fish while aboard the vessel.

The updates included in Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition will be available to current Final Fantasy XV owners for $19.99. The DLC content in the Royal Pack will include all of the new updates found in Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition and will be available for purchase on PSN and the Xbox Store on March 6.

Update: the price of the "Royal Pack" that will let you update the base game to the Royal Edition was listed by Square Enix in error, and the publisher clarified that it's still undetermined.

Every episode of the season pass content is also included: Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, Comradrades Multiplayer, and Episode Ignis.

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition will launch for $49.99 and will open up for pre-order on February 1. Players who pre-order the PC version will receive store-specific pre-order and early purchase bonuses, which includes a "Powerup Pack", "Fashion Collection", and "Decal Selection".
