Today Square Enix released a new update of Final Fantasy XV which expands on the story of the game.

To be more specific, the patch adds a story event on the train in chapter 12, which is geared to help players understand the history of the astrals, the feelings of the characters and the world of the game.

The publisher also released a few new screenshots showcasing the cutscenes of the event, and they really look spiffy.

We recently learned that we're not as close to the end of Final Fantasy XV's content support as we thought we were, with new stuff coming throughout 2018 instead of stopping with Episode Ignis in December.

In the meanwhile, the multiplayer expansion dubbed "Comrades" will launch on October 31st, with new gameplay recently displayed at Tokyo Game Show.

Final Fantasy XV is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One, and will launch for PC in early 2018. If you want to read more, you should not forget to read our recent interview with Director Hajime Tabata.
