This week’s Famitsu Magazine (officially the July 28 2022 issue) included a 16-pages feature on Final Fantasy XVI, with all of the game's details revealed so far, alongside a new interview with producer Naoki Yoshida. Early on in the 6-pages long interview, the notorious producer from Square Enix most notably teased the game's next trailer, sharing some details on the trailer's production.

Naoki Yoshida Confirms The Next Final Fantasy XVI Trailer Will Go Deeper Into Story Details

First off, Naoki Yoshida reconfirmed that the next Final Fantasy XVI trailer will release this Fall (as in between September and December 2022). Next, he explained that the trailer's storyboard and composition have been completed.

However, the Final Fantasy XVI team has yet to record and edit all of the game footage destined to be used in the trailer. The trailer's narration and a few other elements are still in the works as well. Last but not least, Naoki Yoshida specified that this next Final Fantasy XVI trailer will be going deeper into the game's story and world-building.

As a side note, Naoki Yoshida also mentioned he checked the reactions to the previous trailer, and they were all quite positive. He believes the trailer accomplished its mission perfectly: introducing the summons and their spectacular battles.

Square Enix has released two Final Fantasy XVI trailers in total, the first one "Awakening", was also the game's reveal trailer. The first version of the trailer listed Final Fantasy XVI for a PS5 and PC release. The second trailer, "Dominance", announced that the JRPG will be released on PS5 in Summer 2023.

The second trailer in particular has fueled many different fan theories regarding the game's plot.
