Final Fantasy XV’s “Individual Quests” Announced; Feature Considered for Episode Duscae 2.0

During the latest Active Time Event broadcast, Final Fantasy XV Game Director Hajime Tabata explained a very interesting new feature that will be included in the main Final Fantasy XV game and that is being considered for Episode Duscae 2.0: Individual Quests.

Individual quests are quests in which not all four party members can participate. The mechanics are already in place and they’re working as intended, so they might even appear in the version 2.0 of the demo (even if their inclusion isn’t set in stone for now) coming in May.

Tabata-san explained that for instance, when deciding what to do in the morning after camping, Noct and Prompto can be paired for the day, or only three party members can be instructed to go together.

On those days the conversations will be different because the number of party members is different from the usual roster. Combat will also be change.

Afterwards, when the party gets back together at the camp at night, each character will bring back what he acquired. This will allow to introduce more variety to the daily cycle.

According to Tabata-san, the system will be even more in-depth with the final release, about which we’ll start to hear more at Gamescom in August.
