New Final Fantasy XV Trailers Leak; Show Young Noctis, Carbuncle, Yoshitaka Amano’s Art (UPDATED)

on March 30, 2016 10:55 PM

Update: the demo is named “Platinum Demo” and will be released tonight on PS4 and Xbox One. No pre-order is necessary, and playing the demo will let you unlock Carbuncle as a summon in the full game. You also get to name him.

One of the elements that were supposed to be shown at tonight’s Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event, is the debut of the upcoming demo starring a much younger Noctis, serving as a small prologue that won’t appear in the actual game.

Looks like a trailer leaked via Chinese YouTube equivalent Youku, and has then bounced on YouTube proper, followed by a second featuring Yoshitaka Amano’s key artwork in a sleek animated version. You can see them below, courtesy of YouTube user Tim Yui.

The tech demo trailer shows both cutscenes and gameplay. They’re very likely to be taken down before the show, so you can also see a few screencaps after the videos and you can find mirrors here and here.

In just a few hours we’re going to know Final Fantasy XV‘s release date. Just let that sink.

Update 2: the trailers have been replaced with the official version of the one for the demo, and a better version from the Uncovered: Final Fantasy livestream for the Amano-sensei’s artwork, courtesy of YouTube user YongYea.
