Final Fantasy XV’s Voice Over Work Hasn’t Started Yet, Square Enix Confirms (UPDATE)

on February 25, 2014 9:00 PM

Since a few details have emerged about the voice cast of Final Fantasy XV, we reached out to our contacts at Square Enix to ask for a clarification on the situation of the voice overs for the publisher’s upcoming JRPG.

Senior PR Manager David Yang got back to us, letting us know that the voice over of the game have yet to be done.

I spoke with the dev team and the voice overs have yet to be done for this title.

This shouldn’t surprise too much, as the planning and casting phases for a game’s voice work can last weeks, if not months.

Of course we’ll follow the situation closely, and keep you updated with any further information we will receive.

Update: we asked for further clarification, since the original phrasing was slightly vague, and we’ve been told that “the game is still in development and voice-overs have yet to begin for the final game” for all languages.
