Final Round One Fights of Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Arena Footage: Superman VS Sinestro, Hawkgirl VS Green Arrow

March 5, 2013

The last round one fight match ups gave us Superman VS Sinestro, and Hawkgirl VS Green Arrow. So who won? Check out the two gameplay videos below to find out.

What’s even more interesting about these fights is the attention to using the stage to do damage to your opponent: the Superman VS Sinestro battle showed off a lot of the Fotrtress of Solitude, and using the Phantom Zone for quick and extended stage hazard sequences, while the Hawkgirl VS Green Arrow fight showed off how a fight between the titanic hero Atom Smasher and villainess Giganta could wittle down a foe, followed up with an insane cameo by the dark New God of Apokolips himself, Darkseid.

Darkseid’s appearence here, coupled with the backstory of Injustice: Gods Among Us (which is being expounded upon in the weekly digital series), pretty much proves he isn’t a major villain in the story (though he would make for an awesome secret boss, like how developer NetherRealms’ Mortal Kombat (2011) had Story battle fights against Goro, Kintaro, and Shao Kahn).

You can see screenshots below under the videos; how excited are you for this game? Is there anyone you’re waiting to hear revealed?
