Today Nintendo and Intelligent System announced that a new summon focus titled Nohrian Summer will launch today.

The new focus will include swimsuit-clad versions of Elise, Xander, Leo, and Female Corrin from Fire Emblem Fates.

Aside from the super-weird "hot beaches" pun from Leo, I'm incredibly disappointed (but not surprised) that Nintendo completely ignored the low-hanging fruit with Camilla.

Personal gripes aside, we also get a dedicated Paralogue and a voting gauntlet (the gauntlet will come on August 1st), so if you need some free orbs, you'll get some there. I certainly hope that you'll be luckier than me with the first summer focus, since after 80 orbs I'm still at zero five star heroes... But didn't I say "personal gripes aside?"

Alongside the trailer, we also get a handy video spelling out the upcoming updates and tweaks to the game.

On August 7th we'll get a Bound Hero Battle featuring Cecilia and Lilina, while the next Grand Hero Battle will be against Valter. A new Tempest Trial event centered on Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is also coming, alongside the "Continuous Auto" feature for multi-map battles, and the ability to set up to ten reserve teams. Low-level normal difficulty battles and a new scoring system will be implemented as well.

Version 1.6 will include the new "Arena Assault" mode that will require using multiple teams in subsequent maps, with the support of special items. A new currency named Sacred Coins will play a relevant but yet unknown role. This new mode will be implemented on August 8th.

The Catalog of Heroes will let you see all the heroes you've met so far, and all those missing in your collection shown as question marks. On top of that, max hero limit will be increased to 3,000, the training tower will be improved, and EXP and SP earned in the arena will be boosted.

The Six-month anniversary celebration will bring new login bonuses with a ton of orbs (which will surely net me a lot of three-star heroes), new quests and special maps.

Starting on August 7th the appearance rates for three and four-starts heroes will be swapped, and each new focus will grant all players a free summon.

You can check out the videos below, and if you want to see more, you can also take a look at the Ylissean Summer focus (which ends in three days).

Fire Emblem Heroes is currently available for iOS and Android.
