For over a decade, the Fire Emblem series has gradually grown in popularity thanks to recent installments in the series such as Awakening and Fates, with the company’s mobile adaptation of the series, Fire Emblem Heroes, now releasing around the world.

Fire Emblem Heroes has begun its release for iOS and Android users today, with the title taking the popular strategy-RPG combat of the Fire Emblem series and adapting it into a free-to-play mobile structure. Along with the trademark strategic gameplay the series has been known for, Fire Emblem Heroes allows players to summon iconic characters from throughout the series to engage in combat and turn the tide of battle.

Along with the game’s rollout today on iOS and Android devices, Nintendo has also shared that the voting has now closed for Fire Emblem Heroes‘ first fan voting event, which allowed users online to vote for the special appearance of a select character from the series. In total, Nintendo stated that over 1.2 million votes were collected from the “#FEChoose Your Heroes” voting poll, with some of the highest-voted characters including Ike, Roy, Hector, Chrom, and more.

Fire Emblem Heroes is available now for iOS and Android –  the title should be rolling out to other countries and regions throughout the day today.
