Fire Emblem fans are undoubtedly ready to jump back into Nintendo's biggest strategy RPG with the upcoming Fire Emblem: Three Houses. This entry will be the first console release the series has had since Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on the Wii. Which by the way, is still really hard to come by since it saw a limited physical release along with the Gamecube's Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance which is just astronomically expensive compared to the Wii sequel.

Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed the box art for the upcoming Three Houses along with some new details on the game's Japanese collector's edition. Some fans had mixed reactions to the box art, which is admittedly a little odd looking when compared to the 3DS' Fire Emblem Awakening, Fates, and Shadows of Valentia.

Reddit user LadyKuki created their own interpretation of the game's cover art, featuring the main three houses and protagonist. You can check it out for yourself below.

My personal take on this artwork is that it's really well done, but again, a bit distant from the series' general style. Of course, there's nothing wrong with going off the beaten path a little bit. I tend to not get too up in arms about cover art; the only times being when Japan gets vastly superior cover art compared to western releases. Like Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on Nintendo Switch for example.

What do you think of Fire Emblem: Three Houses' cover art? It looks like the artwork will remain consistent across every region so no need to worry there. Fire Emblem: Three Houses will launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on July 26. If you missed out on the game's latest trailer from the February Nintendo Direct, be sure to check it out.
