Today's issue of Weekly Famitsu included the first images and information about three new games that .hack developer CyberConnect2 has in the works, presented directly by President Hiroshi Matsuyama.

First of all, it's worth mentioning that these aren't all the developer is working on. They're three games that they're going to self-publish going forward, but they also have three projects in the works for other publishers. Nothing has been revealed about those.

The three titles included here are projects with a relatively compact scale that can be delivered over the short term. The theme of this "trilogy" is "revenge."

The first game is Fugue of the Battlefield, a strategy RPG with shooting action elements in which the protagonists are eleven anthropomorphic cats and dogs. They're actually children aiming to release their captured families. They have to fight brutal battles by controlling a giant tank named Taranis. It's a mysterious creation of an ancient civilization, and its ultimate weapon is the "soul cannon," that requires human sacrifices to be fired.

The Taranis includes a variety of facilities on top of the command room and the engine room. There are living quarters, a dining room, a workshop and more.

The second game is Tokyo Ogre Gate, which is an action battle game that sees protagonist Neko Mutsuto fight in an alternate version of Tokyo full of demons and magic. When she was seriously injured, her heart was replaced by a machine created with unknown technology named "Ogre Engine." She will borrow its power to seek her revenge.

Her sword increases in sharpness as her speed rise, giving her the ability to cut enemies in half. The game pairs stylish action and unique parkour elements that take advantage of the environment.

The third game is Cecile, set in a crazy world in which four sisters compete to become witches. It's a 2.5D side-scrolling action title with plenty of blood. Four sisters are called by their mother to a certain castle in order to participate to a ceremony to attain their status as witches. The price for the ritual is the most important thing they have, and they're caught in a brutal battle to steal each other's heart.

The protagonist is named Cecile, and her weapon is her favorite umbrella that can turn into a sword, on top of various shapes and additional crazy weapons depending on the situation, creating a large ariety of attacks and bloody executions.

At the moment, no platforms and release windows were shared. Recently CyberConnect2 worked on .hack//G.U. Last Recode, of which you can read our review.
