First Screenshot from EA Sports NHL 15 Revealed; Pre-Order Incentives Detailed

The NHL is currently going into the finals which means that hockey is a big current talking point. Perhaps taking advantage of this, EA has released a screenshot on Twitter from the upcoming puck and stick game, EA Sports NHL 15.

Like EA Sports UFC, NHL 15 looks graphically impressive. If you squint enough your brain might be fooled into thinking this was an actual photo and not a screenshot from a video game. There is a lot of fine detail in the character’s clothing and faces which leads me to believe that this title could be current-gen only. Chances are that it might not be but this is all speculation on my part seeing as how the Twitter post doesn’t say what consoles the game will be out for.

Pre-orders are now available. Gamers who pre-order from Gamestop (or EB Games in Canada) will get 24 Hockey Ultimate Team gold packs, one pack per week for 24 weeks. With these, gamers can collect players from leagues all over the world and build their own fantasy team. They can use these players either online or offline and have them compete in HUT seasons. Pre-ordering from other retailers will get users 15 HUT cards, one a week for 15 weeks.

EA Sports NHL 15’s release date is still TBA.
